Just So You Know

About a year ago, I set up a Market on 1000Markets.com. http://www.1000Markets.com/groups/artistscollective Some of the artists, who have work here on this site, also have shops there as well. Some don't.

As of 2 weeks ago, I am no longer associated with the market. I still have a 1000Markets shop. Just not in the market. This is the original artists-collective.com site and I own the domain name.

I would have preferred to have had the Market deleted, or change the market name and banner, to lessen the confusion. I apologize for that, the confusion, but the decision was not mine.

but only just a little. Everyone has been busy doing their own thing for a little bit- over the holidays, over the first of the year, . . . . .

Some of our US members have set up shops on 1000Markets.com. With a few new additions from there. So I was working on that over most of the holidays and January. Click here if you want to peek at the Market-

Diane Morgan sold a painting back in December that is featured in the March issue of American Art Collector.

So now that all that is over, we are putting together our next Issuu magazine issue of new paintings and news. So stay tuned. . . .

Hello and Welcome

Artists-Collective is a new project of mine, and this is how it began. I was flipping through art magazines at the bookstore, not too long ago, and thought, "Wouldn't it be nice to advertise in some of these?" So I look at the ad rates, and look at my checkbook. Look back at the ad rates. and back at my checkbook.

So I was discussing an idea with artist friends of mine. What if we pool our resources and purchase ad space together? And that's how it started.

You won't find lots of images on this blog. Everyone has their own site, portfolios, and blogs. What you will find will be an image and quick links to the artists so you can browse their individual sites at your leisure. We all paint different mediums, subject matter, and genres. Our backgrounds vary- some have art degrees, others are self taught. You may also find different participating artists from time to time.
